How to ask irregular mense - chunxial

The pt has mense q4days/q6weeks but prior to that is regular q4days/q4weeks. How to ask to differentiate the mense from the present and the past so that sp will not get confused. Thanks.

are you using more pads now then before, are there clots, do your periods last longer, has the color changed, do you use birth control, are you cramping more, it also depends on the pt age if she is older then that could be thyroid perimenapause and then you have to go with that.

for instance if she is 47 and it seems like perimenapause because periods are slowing down, then ask do you have wight changes now versuse before, do you other menapause or thyroid smptoms and maybe preg stuff is she is younger.
