Q.NO 7(Is it from G1 to Gs or G0 to G1) Is it like muscle and nerve cells are in G0; dividing cells are in G1)Am i right ??

Q.No 10 (When does renal compensation start ? Will it start within 30 minutes ?)

Q.No 17 (Can you explain this)

Q.No 22 ( Is it C or H; Right abducens nerve is affected, so is the answer H)

Q 17 answer is D.NNT=1/ARR
Q 24 is B
Block 2 Q 4 answer is D,nondisjunction leads to 22 or 24 chrosomes,given in Goljan pg 92
Q 7 yes it is A,u r right
Q 10,i think it is C as the renal compensation takes about a day
Q 17 may be C as it is given that the pt survives 2 yrs so taking that has occured,u get by multiplying the individual probabilities so .84X.85
Q 22 it is C as u are looking at the ventral surface of the brainstem..C is rt abducens
Q26 i would go with schizophrenia as the lab values are normal and i guess smoking is more common form of abuse in teenagers than alcohol..and moreover the boy says that he sees bright colours which might be the case in schizophrenia

Q17 is D.......
cz 1st u wd calculate ARR= risk with placebo - risk with raloxifene
= 260/2576 - 138/2557
= 0.1 - 0.05
= 0.05
now NNT= 1/ARR= 1/0.05 = 20...... so D is the ans
Q24 is B definitely ( DM causes peripheral neuropathy.........)
Q4.....D 22/24 see this diagram in kaplan genetics........
Q7....A ......G0 to G1 phase ( divide when needed......)
Q10.....he's at quite a height......n its been 30 min..... so he is in acute phase of resp alkalosis, he will hyperventialte, so Pco2 wd dec n pH wd increase, but HCO3 wd remain normal, so ur answer will remain somewhere on the dotted line.......normal pco2 is 40, but dec in this pt, so the only option left is D..... at D, pH is inc on xaxis n on Yaxis Hco3 is still in N range, n pco2 is now30
Q17.....c..... if they survive 4 2 yrs, i wdnt take into account the 1st 2 survival rates but i wd multipl the third n 4th yr survival rates.....
Q22......med strabismus of right eye means right lateral rectus is not functioning.....6thN....C
Q26.....only E makes sense to me...................
