If you haven't heard from a program by now, you need to call them (can also email in addition to call, but definately call them personally) and let them know that you are still interested and ask if they are still considering your application. This works. I know several people who got interviews (and subsequently residency positions) this way. If you haven't heard from programs, it could mean either they are still considering you, or that they have already seen your application and they aren't interested. Either way, a phone call can make all the difference. If you send an email in addition to your phone call, make sure you let them know of any updates (Research, Step 3, etc.) that might have occured since you originally sent your application through ERAS. It's getting late in the game so make sure that your focus right now should be getting into residency. Good luck guys!
