D........shud not use rate control agents (AV node blockers) in Afib with WPW (it may be wide complex A Fib) as accessory pathway wud not be blocked and cud make the patient go into V Fib..... death
use Class 1 A antiarrhythmics acutely.........Procainamide doc...other drugs that can be used for maintenance.........Amiodarone, Disopyramide also options for chronic.........if unstable DC cardioversion definite rx........ablation using radiofreq catheter |
