explanation :the question ask about the pathogenesis of why cause episodic colic due to sphincter of oddi problem ,the answer is the spasm in the sphincter due to failure of relaxation due to absence of enteric plexus like myenteric plexus
the same mechanism like achalesia and hirschsprung

in Achalasia the inhibitory transmitter is VIP that we loss
in stenosed Sphincter of oddi the inhibitory transmitter is CCk that we loss

both are examples of Non-adrenergic Non-cholinergic inhibitory enteric motor innervation.
