OB question...help - oncogene
#1
Hi guys,

I have been under the books for the last few weeks so I have not been here. I do have a questions that is really confusing me.

A pregnant woman is on anti-seizure medication. Do you stop it and give her something else? Do you continue using it? Or do you just not give her anything? Can you please give me your reference? Thanks

if she is already on it continue it , if she needs it for herself and do frequent usg and triple marker study ..............but if she is on medication and want to become a prgnant ...consult both obgyn and neurologist and try to stop it after 3 years under eeg guidance or switch to other medication and see how it works....

Also do you know of a good source to study school-age/adolescent info from? Seem few questions on NBME talking about their behavior and what to do. So can you recommend please? Thanks

yup if on manhy drug simplify on one drug........
even if she is on valproate.....continue if she needs for her.....but if any other newer drug was effective in past....than u can switch it but after consulting neurologist.........as u dont want to have seizure in pregnancy.....harmful to both
