correct answer is ccc
Drinking water after losing a significant volume
of water as sweat decreases the osmolality of the extracellular fluid
because the salt lost from the extracellular fluid in sweat is not replaced by
the ingested water. When the extracellular osmolality is decreased, water
flows from the extracellular to the intracellular body compartment, causing
intracellular volume to increase. The patientâ„¢s symptoms are caused by
swelling of the brain.

sweat is hypoosmolar.. and sweating causes hypertonic extracellular fluid.this causes thirst.... but correction by drinking plain water only causes hypotonic extracellular fluid causing the water to get into cells.... cerebum swells causes the above manifestation.
