Do we need to check the ear and hearing? - hopelessdr

Hi, guys,
My friend told me a case he encounted in CS test, the SP's complaint is syncope (passing out), but he weared hearing aid. My question is: do we need to check his hearing in detail? and should we need to ask the SP to take off the hearing aid so we can check the TM and canal?

i think we do need to check because passing out could have resulted from any pathology in the vestibular system such as meniere's disease.A whisper test ,rinee's and weber's should do.

Yes, you have to take a look at the ear, put a specific detailed hearing exam on the tests in th PN.
