The reason why the vector must have at least one gene resistance to an antibiotic cz when we place that vector on the growth medium, we also add antibiotic to that medium so it can kill all those bacterias which did not acquire the cloning vector and since our cloning vector got resistace gene against the added antibiotic , those bacterias which acquired it will be spared and produce a culture.
