Mgso4 is prefered to Diazepam because it has less side effect and does not lead to tolerance

Use Diazepam+phenytoin if there was Status Epilipticus, otherwise MagSO4 is the answer.

i guess Mg So4 works by antagonising with Ca and reducing seizure plus few ither ways resultin in less S/E and better results.
