With a good research experience with several publications, but poor scores, what type of program is better to apply for?

Let's be straight, they will compare you to other candidates, which means scores. Hang in there, but be prepared to justify why you're this great academic research mind, but that your clinical knowledge sucks under the pressure of exams

Try Preventive Medicine Residency. Especially in Meharry Medical College, Nashville, TN.They are offering transitional year too. Preventive Medicine preferred candidates with research experience. Good Luck.
