I'm applying to general surg.
I have read that getting a prelim in surgery is not so difficult.
1.What happens I receive an early pre-match for prelim surgery?
2.Should I take it or wait until the match for a categotical?
3. If I apply to both(cat and prelim) in the same program and they send me an interview invitation, will they tell me that they are interviewing me for cat or prelim?

1& 2: Well, that depends on what you want to do finally.
3: Am not sure you should apply to different tracks in same program as it gives mixed message. But if you do and you get an interview, they would probably tell you what the interview is for or it may be for both.
