hi to all
i need some advice regarding applying in residency
i just took step 2 last week and expecting my result in mid sep ,,,step 1 passed.
i want to know if i apply in first week of sep ,,,,,,is it ok without waiting for result or should i wait for OASIS update .
because some body sugested me PD dont download our information before mid oct.
is this true ? plz help money is a big issue so dont want to waist .........

wait a little bit. But don't wait too long. It might be a while to get ecfmg certification, so start applying slowly few programs at a time. like 5 every 5 days. Programs will always download your app again once your scores are updated.

just curious to know......how do you know where to apply if you don't have your step 2 scores in hand......judging that many programs look at both step scores?As long as you apply by sept. end I think it should be alright......some ppl in these internet websites at times over-hype the fact that one needs to apply on sept. 1.....I know many who applied even after 1-2months and still got interviews and residency.

Some programs wait a week or so before downloading the applications there are also a few which download after a month!Then there are which start within a week.
