34 yr old lady presented with weakness in her legs. she is experiencing this weakness for last 1 month. she also explains to have difficulty in chewing food & articulating words in speech. On examination the both lower limb power in 3/5. Jerks in lower limbs are hardly appreciable. Planter response is bilateral downgoing. Senses in lower limbs are not altered. Pt has motor neuron disease, sensory is intact.
Amytrophic lateral sclerosis can present with both upper and lower motor neurone ds. But here there is no upper motor lesion. I have found that it can happen. Agree?
