They prefer you if you are AMG, high scores, fresh grad and publications. Period

it is true what ozpy says, but if 2- guys meet all the above criteria , the position will go to the one coming from where the PD and selection comittee is from. of coursing the AMG are lst. but when it comes to FMG than it is common sense than that the selection committe will choose their native ones. this shouldn't be offensive to any one , it is some thing we might all do, but since some groups have dominated these resiedency program ,they choose their own people, you will see this fact when you are in those programs.
