pancreatic adenoma ---does secrete gastrin , like in zollinger ellison syndrome --you have gastrin levels above --1000.But at the same time --somatostatin does inhibit every hormone in the body --so dec all hormone levels .
somatoatin is rx of esophageal variesis and acromegaly ---octreotide.
