Hi all..
I am ECFMG certified but appearing in step 3 in a hurry without full preparation.
I would like to know that if i flunk will it affect my application for this year's match? Does a program know that a person failed if he dosent mention his step 3 in the application?

Need your sincere advise people.

also if i pass with just something like 75 , will that be viewed as positive as i have passed step 3 or will it hurt my chances further?

well residency depends on few criterias,, year of graduation, scores and USCE.
If you are a recent graduate and have good scores in 90s with no attempts , then u can take a chance of just passing step 3 (not recommended b/c competition is very tough nowdays).
If you are an old graduate, low scores or multiple attempts, dont attempt step 3 then until you are fully satisfied
