Hi rrp,read your response to one of the mails and was tempted to ask you more.........I have got 5 interviews in the bronx-brookyln area...So just wantes to make sure...Is it true that resident/attendings live in nearby towns rather than living in Bronx...Also do have an idea about Lincon M M HC (Bronx)...also what abt the Indian community there....I hope to match at Mamonides...but u know......

hi aquarius,
good luck with all ur interviews in ny.take all those interviews, see the hospitals , working conditions, visa choice,attendings and fellow residents etc. select the best work environment as ur choice of selection cos u r going to spend an awful lots of ur next few yrs there. once u get past that i think finding a place to live at a convenient and safe area will not be a problem. desi community and grocery shops are available in most places. dont worry much abt it. talk to the residents abt the attendings and working conditions, thats most important for choosing the residency. bronx and brooklyn are on north and south to manhattan. if u need me for more, holler at usmle60. gl |
