I'm looking a book or a website that has the barebones of information about a topic. Specifically, I'm looking for a book that list the steps in treatment and Diagnosis of a certain Disease. This should help with answering those step 2 questions that ask, "what is the next step in your treatment/diagnosis..." CMDT has to much, and 1st Aid for the Boards has to little.

i have a book called family practice by swanson but it is 3rd edition from year '96. so is it good to read that or am i suppose to get the latest edition??????????????
