urgent advice needed - J1 - art20

Guys I need to make a decision urgently and I'm positive u all are the most reliable...
Have a few questions in my mind regarding J1 visa for research..

Is it true that for the J1 visa under short term research scholar category, the 212e rule of 2 yr home residency requirement is not applicable??
Even if the rule applies, will I be able to apply for a fresh J1 clinical from my home country next year???

it's true that short term scholar J1 visa is not subject to 2 year rule..

n even if u do get the 2 year HRR.. u can always apply for the j1 clinical visa..

only things u cant apply for is an H, K, L and immigration.
