I knew a Doctor (my former professor) who did FM residency at the age of 55.
I believe there is no age cut for residency. Please don't worry about it.
Good luck for matching

it is said no age limit, then how explain the issue of YOG? is it unrelated?

YOG is seriously considered because it a good indicator how long you departed from clinical experience. It does't in any way meant to explain either you are old or young.
BTW it is totally a discrimination to exclude applicants based on their age. But I don't mean such screening are not done in subtle way

i knew of an FM resident who was a surgeon back home. He was around 42-43 years old. He had a tough time adjusting to being a resident but managed it anyways.

there is no age limit but there is selection pressure to chose younger fresher grads or those who have been in clinical practice after graduation.
