a patient of GERD is being treated by antacid came to physician with complain of maldigestion, recently he has doubled his antacid dose, he has not changed his diet which has mostly nut, egg meat.
which type of cell secrete enzyme whose function is affected in this patient

1) chief cell
2)G cell
3)paritel cell
4)mucous cell
5)I cell

1..Cheif cell secretion acts on Protein digestion

3. parietal cell...bcz of decreased acid....chief cell scerets pepsinogen which need acid H+ to become active pepsin...

Pepsin work in acidic medium , for its fuction pH should be 3, pepsin digest protein and in this patient meal mostly protein, so maldigestion of protein will occur . so ans should be cheif cell.
