Ophthal observership/fellowship - desperatelyme
#1
Hi buddies,
I have completed masters in Ophthalmology (India) and have now started prep for USMLE as i had to move with my husband to the US. Desperately in love with ophthalmology and would greatly appreciate any sort of help with observership/clinical or research fellowship experiences and advice... I know its very competitive but hoping for the best as i am willing to give my best...

Hi desperatelyme!
I am in similar situation as youSmile....try emailing all the programs for observership....regarding fellowship get in touch with programs that offer neurophthalmology/peds ophthalmology as they arent as competitive and some of them go unfilled and some of them take imgs. There are some places that offer ocular pathology as pre-residency fellowship.I think florida, bpei, offers research fellowship. For other research positions like a coordinator, most of the big institutes have eye research dept ,email them asking for a research position.
gl and hope you make itSmile

Interesting (& somewhat scary) facts of generalhelp (aka dr Shaun):

Course reviews : absolutely positively none (except for reviews made by general Shaun himself)

Instructors qualifications : no verifiable US qualifications, in fact shaun was actually kicked out of fm residency in the 90s

....more to follow.....last Shaun sighting....Davison av
