I would go with the 2nd one.

Do you Osm = 2(Na+K) + Gluc/18 + BUN/2.8

I always thought this one was without the K+, but then saw it like this in pretest. I guess 3-5 units don't make a big deal with this one. But I never saw the other one written like that. I think UW is soo anal, it throws u off a bit. CS, just stick with the Most Common's and main things now. And if you can, by all means, Think about the postpone, you can take it anywhere in the country and canada. 3-4 days can mean a killer difference! GL

K+ is mostly an intracellular ion, so it can be omitted. But it is always right to include K+ in the calculation, more accurate.

Got it for the 14th now, V-day, but I 'm freaking out. Not really, just overwhelmed at all the info! I just want to get thru it once, but I don't know if I can and even if I do, I don't know how much the human brain can memorize in 1 week. Livin' on a Prayer!

Both ones. Some times its preffer not use the formula using K+ cause not afecct to much the final results, unless its altered so its preferred to use the first formula
