With my sincere respect to all of you and to your good composition skills I would suggest to be brief and frank. 3 or 4 sentences no more because unfortunatelly pds don't spend too much time reading email and at the end say: I'm intending to rank you very high and I certainly hope you will do the same.

Before I signed my prematch I sent letters like that to PDs and got positive feedbacks from some. One of them responded frankly: " you can bet I will"
