hi doctors;
I have a question please, regarding step3 there will be a change in structured exam starting November 2014 as said on usmle.org and also there will be no testing in October 2014, on the other side the cycle for 2014 step 3 as stated on fsmb site said it will start august 2013-july2014, so if I want to give the exam in augst 2014 will there be any problem?? and will it be in the new format or no?? whats the meaning of cycle as in fsmb?? or should I apply in july to get it in august??

forgot to ask if I did it in first week of august will it be late for the match?? and should I do something to transmit its score or it will be transmitted through ERAS as rest of other steps???

if score comes out before you submit eras application, it'll be included.

if later.. retransmit usmle scores under documents tab in eras

@docttam3 thanks for help, but can you explain what is the cycle and is it that I should apply in july or june to get exam in august???

a cycle = 12 months of test administration with any new proposed changes and notifications on when those changes take place.


you can apply anytime.
