Hi friends..I recently diagnosed as ppd positive but cxray negative..

Will it effect on my further studies like observerships n residency?
Do I need to take INH prophylaxis for 9 months?

You have to take INH for 9months. If you do so, you dont have to worry much about it as CXR is negative.

Thanq...do I need to take it immediately r can I postpone it for 1 year ...I have sum issues I can't take it immediately..

go for blood work test and show negative report

Do not worry. I do not think anyone will insist that you take INH for latent TB. I had the same and yet I was cleared to do an observership at a university hospital and I am not expecting that to affect any future plans. I am not about to take INH either in the near future.

if you are from Pakistan Or India then you were given BCG vaccine in your childhood. that is why you are PPD positive. If PPD Positive with a negative Xray then it doent matter . no restriction to work
