Ace inhibitor function - samerkara
#1
Pt with renal arteries are 85% occluded. BP 220/120. Ace is given and BP now is 140/80. Why?
1- capping of the JG receptor at macula densa?
2- inhibition of minerlocorticoid production in adrenal cortex?
3- no aldosteron secretion?
4- no cleaving of c-terminal peptide on angiotensin 1?
5- no secretion of epi from adrenal medulla?
3 is wrong?

I googled it and asked a friend, 4 is the right answer.

i would have guessed 4 only cause ACE means it inhibits angioI to II
