25. A 6-year-old girl is brought to the outpatient
clinic for a check-up. She reached all developmental
milestones until the age of 24 months.
Since then, she has become more distant and
less socially engaging. She rarely initiates social
interactions and has a short temper. Verbal language
consists mostly of grunting and loud
nonverbal yelling, a severe decline from her
toddler years when she could speak in three- to
four-word sentences. She has never been completely
toilet trained and has diffi culty following
verbal commands from her caregivers.
Which of the following is the most likely disorder
in this child?
(A) Asperger’s disorder
(B) Autism
© Childhood disintegrative disorder
(D) Fragile X syndrome
(E) Rett’s disorder

My understanding is In Autism there is delay in the development of milestone right from the birth but in disintegrative disorder initially for 2-3 yrs u ll find the normal development of milestones and then the deterioration C.

Difficult to distinguish these two(c and e) in exam because in Rett’s also early development may be normal.
