Hey guys, had a question on hemolytic reactions in fetuses
It says on first aid that the Antibodies produced in pts with blood group O are of the IgM subtype, hence wont cross the placenta and cause hemolysis in newborn.. But on a uworld question explanation, it says that only the antibodies produced in pts with blood types A, B and AB have antibodies of the IgM subtype, and in pts with O blood group, the Antibodies against antigens A and B are of IgG subtype and can cross the placenta and causes hemolysis.. Any one can clear this out for me?
