question about failure of steps - hautksdd

i heard that there is no way to fail for the 3rd time for each step. they usually let you pass if this is your 3rd attempt. they know you are not going to match anywhere with 2 failures.

oh no, dcba40, i passed it on first try.
i was thinking. since 3rd yr residents are taking step 3, most of them will pass if not all.
who wants to bother the residents? they have already gone through a lot of things.

I know someone who failed step1 twice. I recall that she had told me some similar bs about "them" letting everyone to pass on 3d time. I never asked her if she ever attempted the 3d time but i still see her in a library with FA for step 1. So...
