all other drug except prazocin this way or that way affect the glucose. propranolol affect the glucose in its own way . its mask the hypoglycemia response of body of insulin and can hamper blood sugar management. because body may not be able to know the hypoglycemia becusee there is blokade of cathacholamine response by beta blocker. hypog, ycemia may be unnoticed by the body and there will be harm done without body having time to defence it.

other drugs except prazocin can cause hyperglycemia be cause they hamper glucose absorption in the proximal tubule as a side effect.

prazocin is an alpha blocker which is not related to neither hypoglycemia nor hypergllycemia because alpha does not work on pancreas.

Diabetes mellitus can be unmasked or worsened by numerous antihypertensive agents. Most prominent among these are the thiazide and thiazide-like diuretics. All beta blockers, especially the nonselective beta blockers and high-dose cardioselective beta blockers, can mask the symptoms of hypoglycemia and delay recovery from hypoglycemic episodes. Diazoxide can cause hyperglycemia or hyperosmolar, nonketotic, hyperglycemic coma.
Prazosin, a peripheral alpha blocker, has no known adverse effects on glucose tolerance. In addition, it can reduce total cholesterol, triglycerides, VLDLs, and LDLs, and increase HDLs.
