Bye Bye USMLE - leoleo
#1
Finally, I did pass step 3 two days ago, that concludes my journey with the USMLE nightmare, although I didn't secure a residency spot yet, I am so pleased to be done with this exam.....

Studied for 6 months (with a full time job), did MTB 2 times, UW 2 times (first 59, second 75), did UWS and got 210, scored 200 in the real exam.

I was so afraid because of the CCS cases as I missed 2 cases completely in the real exam, but when I got the result, my performance in the CCS was good and my first day performance was somehow below average ( I felt I did very well)....

It is a doable exam, just practice and be calm during the exam....

Best luck to everyone and wish you all the best....

Hey congrats on being done.
Do u think UW is enough for this exam? Or should we do any other qbank as well?
Also what sources did u use for CCS?

Well, to be honest with you, I do believe that UW is enough if you understand the questions and the concepts.

Regarding the CCS, although I didn't study anything but the UW, I believe another source should be considered since I felt petrified from the CCS until the score came out......(Remember I didn't do my residency yet, since this affects the outcome)..

What about time management on day 1? U were able to finish blocks within time? And do u have calculation questions of biostatistics like Ppv, sensitivity

I was able to catch up with all blocks except for one which I had a few seconds left for the last question so I just picked an answer....And yes, I did get a lot of calculation questions but most of them were direct questions..
