how come the patient has cardiac tamponade. pt simply has pericardial effusion. guys history is over 4 days. such a long history excludes tamponade it is effusion. and effusion u need pericardiocentesis if she overtly very much symptomatic or not responding to treatment. her bp is stable abg is slightly low. but still can give her a trial of therapy before doing pericardiocentesis so echo should be 1st then others
