epidural hematoma --the lucid interval is the key to the answer as well as dilated pupil which signifies that occulomotor nerve is compressed---ct will show biconvex hematoma and plain xray skull if done can show the fracture line crossing middle meningeal artery. pt need urgen craniotomy otherwise increasing intrcranial pressure will kill the person after it presses the vital structure in the brain stem--
