Regarding US LOR - keepswimming

Finishing my USCE this week and just asked my consultant for a letter. He said that he's happy with me and asked me to write the letter myself, and he wants the letter to make myself look like the best student ever...
Of course, eventually he will check and upload the letter but this leaves me confused...
Is this a good thing? For applicants to write own letters?

My Letter writer also asked me to do the same. Donot waste time and get it written asap.

Get it written by her/him asap no matter how they write it. That's what I did. I insisted to write it for me. She wrote it. Good Luck.

The Letter auther will write it for you If you insist. That's what I did. You donot have to write it. Its their Job not yours.
