what are the indications for admission ?

Indications for inpatient treatment include the following:
Low weight or rapid weight loss
Severe electrolyte imbalance (life-threatening risks created by sodium and potassium derangements)
Temperature less than 36°C
Pulse less than 45 beats per minute
Altered mental status or other signs of severe malnutrition
Cardiac disturbances or other acute medical disorders
Psychosis or a high risk of suicide
Symptoms refractory to outpatient treatment

so simply there are so many reason to admit this pt---psychotherapy and for build up of nutrition and pt cannot be relied upon as far as food intake is concerned--suicide risk--

suicide risk

malnutrition

electrolyte imbalance

weight issue--severe

hypothermia

psychosis

bradycardia

After treatment , even many years later when the anorexia nervosa patientconyemplates on pregnancy,
Infertility, due to annovulation,
Incresed incidences of abotion,
Small for gestational age,
Severe hyperemesis gravidorum.
Prematurity,
Incresed incidence of c.s
