When a patient is in ICU, is it necessary to monitor patient's vital signs, by ordering vitals?

My understanding it is not necessary, since anytime we check updates, the system automatically give us that information.

Any advice?

Once you move pt to ICU, they will automatically add vial sign measurement every 4 hr or 8 hrly, you can add and check it again if you want to measure it more frequently.
