I really don't believe in these conspiracy theories that interviewers prefer IMG from Japan and Argentina, but don't like people from Caribbean medical schools. If you get 260+ in step 1, speak near native English, have 2 or 3 papers in high impact journals and present good LORs that attest your American clinical experience, you have a high chance of matching in a good hospital.
