doc = metronidazole.

next drug = vancomycin.

RED MAN SYNDROME due to rapid vancomycin infusion
other uses- endocarditis in prophylaxis,meningistis ,erysipelas sepsis.

we use vancomycin tab in case of clos difficile
vancomycin resistance is the most feared outcome about the drug
is a glycopolypeptide antibiotic that kills gram postilve by interfering with cell wall synthesis
red man syndrome is dealt with antihistamines
in case of known meth res staph aureus or in case of empiric use in the case of meningitis before the report for c and s is obtained
