Yes, but It rarely happens.

There are some programs that are described by previous residents as "malignant". Sometimes because how they treat the interns and sometimes because they have fired residents without any significant reason.

One of the hospitals I interviewed at specifically told us that if we have any issue with the attending physicians they are able to void the contract for the pgy2. (This is obvious but it was weird to hear that at the time of interview).

Remember, most problems are related to attitude and not to knowledge. Be good, be kind, listen and learn and you will be fine.
