Following way was helpful for me,
1-applied to become a volunteer in University Hospital in my city and and close around, 2-talked to friends who were working in Research to ask their professor if they would take volunteers, 3-also checked local faculty of hospitals on Pubmed and google scholar, got theiir email addresses from their and started sending them emails.

What worked was, the one of my friends professor called me for interview ( the interview was more tougher than my residency Iv) I got accepted as volunteer, started working there, in 6months I started applying for paid Research Assistant positions all over, first got a part time position at other big hospital, than got full time paid position at the same hospital.
