I asked one company to translate my diploma. It is weird that they sent me the tranlated file in a word format with a scanned signature by email. Does anyone know whether it is OK if I use it directly for step 1 application? Or I should ask them to print out the file, sign and send it to me by mail? Can anyone give me some suggestions? Thank you!

Is the translation company professional? (ECFMG accepts the translation from professional translators) Ask the company to mail u the original translation, with stamps and signs. They have to do that.

Rain, also check if the translation has a line stating that the translation is from the copy of the diploma......If it says "translation from the copy of the diploma". .....ECFMG doesnt accept. The translation shd be done from the original diploma directly and not from xerox copies.
Its all given clearly in the ECFMG info booklet.Pls go thro it.
