does any 1 knows how is this neuro program work? can we apply through eras or through sf match .. what ment by advance program ??? does it need a prelim pgy1 first ... i am realy confused ???????????? by the finaly what is the chance for img like me to get in neuro slot????

Neuro is a highly specialized field much like Surgery and OB/GYN. You need at least 2-3 letters from Neurologists in order to be considered. US experience/letters are highly desired. The deadline for most programs have already expired plus many Neuro programs do not offer PGY1 training and you have to find that by yourself by applying separately to IM programs. Such programs are advanced.

Neuro is getting very difficult, coz we are competing with AMGs. The recent 3 years of residents where I was an observer are all AMGs. This year neuro joined ERAS makes it even more competitive.
As I know, most program deadline is Dec 1, some Dec 15. So you still have chance to apply. Good luck.
