if PD said he would put you in their rank list, does it mean you will be in their one of 6 position or you might be in No.7 or No.8?

If they have 6 positions, they will rank a lot more. Just as you will only go to one place fianlly, but you will rank a lot more as well.

When PD said he would put you in ranking list, I think it just means that. Yes, he most likely will put you in the list because you were intereviewed there. Any interviewee has very good chance to be put in the list. That is what interview means.
