What are changes in serum K+/Na+ in diabetics ketosis
and diabetics osmotic coma?

Potassium is inavariably low in DKA,and falls further as glucose enters the cells with insulin treatment.Hyponatremia is also usual .Sodium is increased in hyperosmolar coma.I am nit so sure about K.

In DK, because of acidosis, H+ in plasma enters cell and K+ exits cell. Hence there is hyperkalemia in acidosis.

I gree with ankur about hypernatremia and Meghna about hyperkalemia.

I didnt make myself clear enough. As Meghna says, movement of H+ into the cells forces K+ out,and may initially PRESENT as hyperkalemia.Total body K+,even at presentation, is actually low, because large amounts are lost via vomitting and in urine. As Tt proceeds, insulin uses up the K+ to move the glucose into the cells and K+ levels fall further.

In Diabetic Ketoacidosis following things happen
Acidosis ,Due to ketosis Hyperlalemia even though total body pottasium is low but serum K is high normal or even elevated.Regarding Sodium is normal to eleveted becoz of dehydration
