acute alcohol intake inhibits metabolism of drugs ,while chronic alcohol intake induces drug action...so it will in duce phenytoin metabolism

alcohol will induce disulfiram like reaction with metronidazole

Answer: d) use of metronidazole can precipitate psychosis. Disulfiram (antabuse) acts by causing raised acetaldehyde levels. This causes unpleasant effects. Metronidazole and disulfram synergism may lead to psychosis.
