Asynchronized Cardioversion is only for V.FIB and Pulseless Vtach, the rest is synchronized Cardioversion.

the aim of synchronized cardioversion occur when downslop of QRS complex. as in a fib and svt there are proper QRS COMPLEXES so we do synchronize cardioversion

in VFib, there is no PROPER QRS complex so we do synchronise cardioversion. ( on the R wave to be more precise)

the idea behind is if we do asnchronize cardioversion , and current delives on T wave, SVT OR AFIB it will result in vfib which is more lethal.

let me ask you one question mostazaracing, what would cardioverion will you do in torsade de pintis, ( obviously patinet is not stable to do pharmacotherapy)
