I had exactly the same case on my pipe & i dont know what i did....i didn't do any exam, took no history apart from her sexual hx & left the room feeling lousy ! I didn't examine her, cuz, she said she came in yesterday, also got the test done....she's in only to discuss her wet prep findings..I'm still confused as to what i shud've done.

Doc, when was your exam? It might be part of the new format.

I just came across a similar case in one of my CDs , according to that, PAMHUGSFOS is not required. A thorough sexual history with education about contraceptive methods, treatment of the partner, therapeutic trial with metroniddazole, importance of pap smear, and vaginal culture should be advised.
Among the DDs, also consider bacterial vaginosis and other STD. Abdominal examination should be done.

Well yea, but how do you address the pt's question about coming back to discuss the results of wet prep?

I think we have to tell her the diagnosis.

ofcourse, we just discuss treatment since eveything else is already done for us.
