# mild painkillers, such as paracetamol (Panadol) or aspirin (eg Disprin).

# gabapentin (eg Neurontin), an antiepileptic medicine licensed for nerve pain.

# opioid painkillers, such as tramadol (eg Zydol) or dextropropoxyphene. They may be useful if other treatments have failed.

# capsaicin cream (Zacin).

Mito please correct me if im wrong...in case of diabetic neuralgia both legs are involved...

Gabapentin provides relief in about 60% of people who have chronic pain caused by diabetic neuropathy.
